POSITION SUMMARY:

The VP in the position will use proven sales capabilities to expand Synovate’s share of market research in the retail and/or restaurant industries

RESPONSIBILITIES:

As the primary point of contact with clients, key responsibilities include:

·         Building new client relationships

·         Building solid relationships with existing clients

·         Locating new opportunities within existing clients

·         Preparing proposals and project cost estimates

·         Communicating project objectives to project management and analytical teams

·         Delivering research findings/recommendations and on-going consultation with clients

·         Monitoring financial performance at project and client levels

·         Leading Practice and corporate initiatives to improve operational effectiveness and competitive position

·         Mentoring junior staff

REQUIREMENTS:

·         Bachelor’s degree, preferably in business or social sciences; Master’s degree a plus

·         10+ years experience in marketing research on client or supplier side in the retail and restaurant industries

·         Proven sales expertise

·         Strong relationship building skills (interpersonal and communication)

·         Ability to understand client needs and translate them into business development opportunities for Synovate

·         Strong analytic, report writing and presentation capabilities

·         Proactive attitude essential to success in this position

·         Ability to manage, direct, and motivate assigned staff

·         Excellent communication and presentation skills with the ability to effectively interact with internal and external clients

·         Ability to exercise professional judgment and assume responsibility for decisions which impact quality of service

·         Excellent organizational and project management skills

·         Excellent analytical and problem solving skills

·         Strong computer skills including Microsoft Office Suite and other business-related software systems
