Massachusetts College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences, School of Health Sciences, Nursing Program is now accepting applications for a Clinical Coordinator at the Boston, MA campus. MCPHS offers leading edge educational programs that prepare students to succeed in contemporary health practice and related professions.
The key responsibilities of the Clinical Coordinator position are as follows:
Maintain all necessary documents and databases related to cinical experiences, including clinical handbooks, clinical rotation schedules, clinical affiliation agreements, and other necessary materials.
Be responsible for the overall coordination and management of student clinical experiences in the BSN program.
Ensure that students have appropriate and adequate clinical instruction/supervision and contribute to the evaluation of the students' clinical ability.
Maintain, update and/or initiate and complete clinical affiliation agreements for all clinical sites, in collaboration with the clinical site, program faculty and MCPHS legal counsel.
Serve as communication liaison between the program and the various clinical sites.
Participate in program staff and advisory committee meetings on a routine basis to recommend and implement changes in didactic and clinical course schedule.
Report to the Chief Program Officer (Dean) regarding issues, relevant data/documents related to clinical placements and evaluations.
The successful candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in health related discipline (preferably nursing/RN) and previous experience in a health care or health-related setting, along with the ability to read, analyze and interpret complex data. Strong technical ability with Microsoft Office products and database management; strong organizational skills and experience in administration, and the ability to respond effectively to sensitive inquiries and complaints and work effectively with minimal supervision.
