DIRECTOR OF NURSING

JOB DESCRIPTION

 

They seek a talented DIRECTOR OF NURSING who will report directly to the CNO and will oversee departments at their larger campus. In collaboration with the CNO the successful candidate will be responsible for budgets, resource utilization, quality initiatives, patient flow and nursing standards. He/she will also be directly responsible for specific departments including respiratory therapy, nursing supervisors, bed coordination and float pool. The individual will also be responsible for being a participating member of hospital committees, fostering relationships with physicians and staff and representing the CNO at professional meetings and committees.

QUALIFICATIONS

The successful candidate must have the following qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Nursing, a Master’s Degree is preferred

Progressive nursing management experience with responsibility for several clinical areas

Strong financial/budgeting experience

Excellent interpersonal skills

Excellent relationship building skills and a vision for the future.
