Responsibilities:

·         Maintain network security policies and network security architectures for internal and external customers.

·         Review security configuration and installation of firewall, VPN, routers, IDS scanning technologies, and Microsoft and UNIX server builds to meet customer and business needs.

·         Maintain all procedures and audit logs to ensure that security is being maintained on all network devices.

·         Publish, monitor and enforce information & computer security policies and security awareness information.

·         Supervise and/or conduct periodic network security assessments.

·         Manage long-term projects to improve security posture & capabilities.

·         Manage outsourced security monitoring contracts & contractors.

·         Work with Information Security department head and systems engineers to define security requirements for infrastructure implementations.

·         Stay abreast of security trends and new technologies that will enhance current and future network security architectures.

·         Identify, report, and resolve security violations as well as maintain systems to protect data from unauthorized users.

·         Represent Information security department during ongoing audits.

·         Work with head of department to develop a clear audit policy and procedures that are followed on a daily basis.

·         Educate staff though the use of the Intranet on security subjects that promote awarness.


             

Qualifications:

 

·         Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field.

·         5+ years practical experience in information security, including 2-5 years involving risk management in corporate information security programs and hands-on network security implementation.

·         Deep understanding of the strategic elements and processes of corporate security in a business environment.

·         Extensive knowledge of LAN/WAN architecture including Novell/NT/UNIX servers, frame relay, TCP/IP.

·         Hands-on experience with routers/switches, and PIX and Gauntlet firewall implementation and management.

·         Hands-on experience with network and application scanning tools and intrusion detection systems.

·         Gauntlet firewall, Cisco PIX, Cisco router ACLs,

·         VPN, IDS, HIDS and Network General 'Sniffer'

·         Knowledge of penetration and hacking techniques and tools and countermeasures.

·         Strong verbal, written and interpersonal skills are required.

·         Certifications desired: MCSE, CCNA, CCDA, CCNP, CISSP, GIAC.
